The EFT Healing Centre Blog
October 21, 2010
The quote in this post title is by my dear friend, and mentor, Dov Baron. What’s your response when you read it?
Do you feel resistance because “Being brave isn’t part of who I am”, or “I just need to do ___________________ before I take that big step”?
There’s always a reason why we can’t do, shouldn’t do, will never be able to do. Yet if we want something deeply enough, if there is enough underlying pain involved, it’s amazing how quickly, and easily, we are able to get clear, make a decision, and do what needs to be done.
Last year, the ‘pain’ was great enough for me.
Having presented at the Tappers Gathering in Colorado last year, I knew I wanted to hold a similar event here. All the “yeah, but…” resistance in the world came up for me! Yet deep down, I knew we needed a similar event here, and I HAD to organize it. There are so many amazing EFT Practitioners out there, and they deserve a platform on which to speak. Also, I wanted my story to be heard: how I’d recovered fully from severe CFS by using EFT persistently.
On Saturday, October 2nd, 2010, the FIRST Canadian EFT Gathering happened!
And it took place in “little old Langley,” the town where I live – not in a five star hotel in well-known, central Vancouver!
And because it was such an incredible success, we’ll be holding the second Canadian EFT Gathering in October next year, for two days, with a workshop preceding the event.
And one of the speakers at the event will be Dawson Church, Ph.D, author of “The Genie in Your Genes”, and current lynchpin of the EFT world.
And, and, and…
You see, so many unexpected and wonderful things have occurred as a result of me taking action, and tapping on all the reasons my ‘inner skeptic’ gave me not to hold the event.
Do you need to take action right now?
Do you feel the resistance? Write a list of all the reasons why you “can’t” take action right now, and tap on them.
If you stay where you are, how much pain will you continue to feel? Use that pain to motivate you forward.
Simply put, it will be short term pain, for long term gain, and that is worth so much more than feeling unfulfilled and frustrated.
Feel free to tell me how you had the courage to take action in the Comments Box, and motivate others!
