We’re more than three months into 2010, so how are those New Year’s Resolutions going? It’s easy to start a new year determined and committed to accomplishing our goals. Yet it often seems not to take very long before the goal seems like too much hard work, or we lose interest, or we can’t find the time to follow through. Rather than feeling excitement or joy about the resolution, we start to resent it: it is something horrible we have to do.
The best way to approach resolutions is to consider how your life will be different once you have accomplished your goal. Why do you want this goal and how will you feel once you have achieved it? Moreover, how will your life be different when the goal has been accomplished?
Below is a tapping transcript for you to shake up all that resistance to changing and moving forward towards your goal. There may be secondary benefits to staying where you are now, and EFT can clear those.
With your dominant hand, tap the karate chop point on the other hand while saying the following:
Now close your eyes and take a deep but comfortable breath. You might need to repeat this process or feel free to change the wording so it applies to how you really feel. The phrases you use are simply a way of outwardly expressing how you’re feeling. You don’t need to be creative or get hung up on find the “perfect” wording – just state what’s on your mind.
