Is fear of economic loss overwhelming you?
One of my friends was telling me of her father's favourite maxim: "Life is what your attitude makes it." As someone who lived through an economic collapse, the losing side of a war, and refugee status - all as a child - this man was in a position to know.
Adversity of any kind will never qualify as fun. So many people are affected by the current economic unrest - whether by actual loss of income or fear of loss - and it can certainly leave us feeling both anxious and powerless, caught up in a maelstrom we can't control.
The Law of Attraction states that our focus becomes our reality. If we see truth in this, we may also see the danger in being submerged by negative feelings regarding our situation! Nevertheless, if we have legitimate cause for fear or concern, how can we switch our focus to one that empowers us without resorting to blind optimism? The following tapping transcript can help you get started.
With your dominant hand, tap the karate chop point on the other hand while saying the following:
Even though the economic situation is making me feel uncertain and afraid, I want to accept how I'm feeling
Even though when I'm afraid, it's easy to focus on what I don't have, I choose to feel safe enough to focus on all that I do have as well
Even though there's a part of me which is unwilling to let go of all this uncertainty and fear because it's keeping me alert, there is another part of me which deserves to feel calm and confident that I'm doing my best.
Now tap the following places while saying each of the phrases below.
